A few weeks ago I found a story about a website called Myfreeimplants.com. This is a site that connects small-chested females with men who'll donate money to help them reach that goal! The guys pay $1.25 to send a message to the women, and $1.00 of that fee goes to their surgery fund (Grunstra keeps 25 cents). Crazy right?

Well I just came across an article about "Mommy Makeovers". What is a "Mommy Makeover" you ask?

The procedure, The New York Times reports, is marketed toward new mothers. It usually involves a breastlift (implants optional), a tummy tuck, and liposuction. Plasticsurgeons are encouraging women to get post-pregnancy surgery to"repair" the so-called damage inflicted on their bodies throughpregnancy and childbirth. The surgery costs $10,000 to $30,000.

I think this is just another way to make women feel bad about themselves. Givng birth is a beautiful thing. Without it we would cease to exist as a species. So why does a Woman need to "REPAIR" her body after she gives birth? It should be a badge of honor. Or am I just naive? I've never been pregnant and I'm self conscious about my weight. So maybe I don't know becaues I've never been thru pregnancy. BUT I am sick of plastic surgons and the media pointing out ways to "Repair" us women. I wish we could use more of our psychic and emotional energy trying to fix bigger problems like world hunger, war and the energy crisis.
